Even though Mommy calls her daughter a sweet little mouse, the child knows it simply cannot be. She isn’t small, quiet, or timid like a mouse. She is strong, brave, and can even be scary. But as she is tired out from her adventures while getting ready for bed, she might just be content to be mommy’s little mouse, all cozy and warm in her mother’s arms.

Murray has given us a sweet little glimpse into the mind of a child, invincible on big adventures one minute and cuddly the next. I really love this strong little girl! And the beautiful image of her in her mother’s arms at the end will make your heart melt.
